The exhibition tells about the main stages of formation and development of the cadet corps system starting from the beginning of the 18th century. For the first time in 287 years of the cadet corps' existence, a complete archive of documentary and object series has been assembled, which tells about the changing attitudes of the first persons of the state towards the cadet corps, which determined the fate and vector of development of educational institutions.
The exhibition presents exhibits from the leading museums and archives of Russia, museums of Serbia, USA, private collections: rare archive documents, photographs, graphics, watercolors, paintings, sculptures, weapons, uniforms, books, insignia and many other items, most of which are shown for the first time
A cadet corps is an elementary military educational institution (corps) with a program of secondary education with full boarding for preparing cadets for military or public service.
The first cadet corps appeared in Prussia in 1653, when the Great Emperor established the first cadet school for military service of noble children. At the beginning of the 20th century, Germany, Japan and Montenegro had cadet corps
